The most visited airframe by World Aerobatic Champion Quique Somenzini, the Yak 54 is favored especially for its ability to give a pilot the widest range of maneuvering capability at a presentation level worthy of upholding the scrutiny of eagle-eyed judges. Having used his giant-scale Yak 54 at title events around the globe, today his vision of the perfect aerobatic competition airplane has reached a plateau near to flawlessness.

The Hangar 9® Composite QQ Yak 54 2.6m ARF is the RC pilot’s equivalent to art and music destined to stand the test of time. Using modern built-in-the-mold construction techniques, its structure is not only laser-accurate but also built as light as possible so that the suggested high-output gas engine will deliver sweet performance you can use to master scale aerobatics and hard-core 3D. The Composite QQ Yak 54 2.6m is designed to suit the demands of modern unlimited-level pilots who know that a world-class airframe can deliver a competitive edge over long periods. The stability of the all-composite structure is similar to those making an impression within the full-scale the arena. The result is an airframe strong enough to handle the rigors of constant practice flights, but also maintain its integrity so the feeling of flying a brand-new airplane never fades. In addition, the Composite QQ Yak 54 has several aerodynamic improvements over previous Quique designs, including center pivot hinges that better allow for extreme deflections and quiet operation. The plane also features a unique soft mount for 100–120cc engines that reduces vibration and noise making more restrictive flying fields accessible. The engine dome allows convenient mounting and easy access to the throttle servo, electronic ignition and exhaust system.

Quique Somenzini designs are known for 3D and unlimited aerobatic capability. And this big 102-inch wingspan QQ Yak 54 is sure to please the scale competition or hard-core 3D pilot looking to make a mark.
